| TOKYO (AFX) - Toyota Motor Corp plans to boost domestic production of its Prius hybrid car by 50 pct to about 300,000 vehicles in 2007, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported, without citing sources. The Nagoya-based automaker now makes the popular Prius cars completely in Japan and exports them to 40 countries and regions. To limit investments that are needed to increase the production of Prius, however, Toyota will reorganize production lines and shift production of models other than the Prius to other sites from two plants in Aichi Prefecture that currently roll out the hybrid vehicles, the business daily said.
